ARK

Animal Rescue Kefalonia.

As our beloved dog Sheba has now retired back to the UK we have decided because most of our guests have been such animal lovers we would set up a food and money collection for the Animal Rescue Kefalonia group which is now set up near Argostolli.

The ARK has been collecting dogs and some cats from around the island who have been stray or abandoned. The purpose of the ARK is to offer the dogs a safe environment, food and water and most of all care. They ultimately want to rehome the dogs to people all over Europe.

The group of unpaid volunteer's are onsite daily caring for the animals but we at Vassaliki Naturist Club want to do our bit. Vigla Natura will put €2 for every booking that is made direct with us into the money pot. You will have the opportunity to contribute as little or as much as you wish on top of this while visiting the resort. (You will not be pressurize to contribute if you do not wish to)

Once we have saved a small sum we will take it to the local dog food supplier were we will purchase much needed food and supplies. We will then deliver them to the site were you can join us to meet the volunteer's and some of the many dogs.

So far we have a collection of over €120 from Vigla Natura contributions and money already collected from Summer 2011
